The CircAid Silhouette is a low-cost, light-weight, soft foam sleeve contoured to the leg. The Slhouette conforms to the principles of bandaging by using non-aggressive flat foam to help facilitate lymph flow.
After donning the Silhouette Thigh High undersleeve, use an 8cm short stretch bandage to wrap the foot and then 2 or 3 10cm x 10m Short Stretch bandages to achieve proper compression. No other foam or padding is needed, thus saving time and money.
Each product comes with a lycra liner and instructions for use.
CircAid Medical Products, Inc., created the Silhouette at the request of lymphedema therapists with affordability in mind. Therapists are using the Silhouette during the intensive phase of therapy as a treatment tool and have been introducing it to patients during self bandaging instruction as a means to faster and more consistent bandage application. Patients can quickly learn to self bandage using fewer supplies and less time.
