Sorbalgon® AG is a soft, but highly absorbent latex-free calcium alginate dressing which contains silver, that quickly forms a non-adhering hydrophilic gel to protect and cover the wound bed, while maintaining a moist wound healing environment
Containing soft, textile fibers of calcium alginate, infused with silver carbonate, Sorbalgon® AG by Hartmann USA is a highly absorbent calcium alginate wound care dressing that is able to absorb more than 14 times it’s own weight. As wound fluids absorb into the Sorbalgon® AG dressing, it quickly forms a hydrophilic gel that provides protection and coverage to the wound bed and helps to maintain a moist healing environment for optimal wound management. Sorbalgon® AG releases silver ions in the presence of wound fluids which help to protect the dressing from life-threatening microorganisms for up to seven days.
Indicated for use in managing moderate to heavy exudate and for treating conditions such as post-operative or trauma wounds, leg, pressure and diabetic ulcers and first and second degree burns.
