Indicated for general wound care use, ABD pads are designed to provide high absorbency of wound exudate and help keep wounds dry. ABD pads may be used as a primary wound contact layer dressing or as a secondary dressing on top of a primary dressing, such as a Transparent film or Alginate dressing in cases of heavy exudate or when extra absorption is required.
ABD pads may be held securely in place with one of the variety of medical adhesive tapes available on the market.
