Lymphedema Bandages - Overview

Lymphedema Bandages And Bandaging

Lymphedema is a condition in which an area of the body (typically an arm or leg), becomes swollen because the lymph system has been damaged.

The lymph system is a network of lymph nodes and vessels throughout the body that transport lymph (a watery, clear liquid), nutrients, and waste material between the body tissues and the blood stream. The most common causes of damage to the lymph system are cancer, radiation, surgery, or trauma. Lymphedema often occurs after surgery for breast cancer, uterine cancer, or prostrate cancer.

While there is no cure for lymphedema, it can be treated through therapy, management, and maintenance.

At Bandages Plus, we sell everything you need to help treat and control lymphedema.
